Meet Ilana

Hey there,

I am Ilana. Love brought me to America a decade ago, and it’s been an adventure ever since.

Originally from Israel, I landed in the vibrant city of NYC, surrounded by art that truly inspired my soul. Pursuing my art degree at the School of Visual Arts was a big achievement, and I cherished every moment of exploring the streets of Manhattan, visiting art museums, and savoring delicious food.

After a wonderful time in NYC, Sam and I made the decision to move to the suburbs of New Jersey. Here, life took on a new and fulfilling chapter. Here, I could create a beautiful family unit and be surrounded by nature's beauty. Instead of skyscrapers, we have lush greenery, and my kids have all the space to run and play freely

Ever since I was young, I knew I'd open an art studio to share my love and knowledge of art with others. When COVID hit, I found this space and turned it into my art spot. Soon enough, it became a favorite hangout for my family. My kids and their friends built cardboard houses, collaborated on giant artworks, and let their imaginations soar. Those creative times were truly special.

As COVID brought challenges, running classes became more complex, but I saw art as a necessary activity, especially for kids during times of isolation and uncertainty. Witnessing their excitement to return to the studio where they could unleash their creativity was heartwarming.

Now, my studio runs multiple art classes for kids ages 3-13, and it's a dream come true for me. Being part of these young artists' creative journey fills me with immense joy and gratitude.

I love working with kids and creating beautiful memories together. I look forward to meeting your kids and being a part of their creative journey!

Meet the Team

  • Kelly P. - studio coordinator

    Hi! I’m Kelly and I love spending time outdoors with my two kids and husband. You will often find us biking, visiting a new garden, or chasing other travel adventures! One of our favorite places to visit is California (my home state!) and I love California Poppies. In 2021, I taught myself how to weave tapestries and have been exploring the world of fiber art ever since then. I love getting to work with my hands and create art that is full of texture and personality!

    My professional background is in the world of technology and customer support, and I’m so happy to be able to use my skills to welcome families to the art studio. I love talking to parents and hearing about what inspires and drives their kids!

  • Bri Q. - Art Instructor, Party Manager

    My name is Brianna and everyone calls me Bri! I have been a preschool teacher for 4 years and absolutely love working with kids! I enjoy spending time with my two year old puppy named Romeo.

    I love all things Disney and enjoy visiting Disney World a few times a year. 

    Working with littles brings so much joy to my days. I love to use my creativity to make learning fun through art. I have always learned best when I was hands on and I try to implement that with my students. Watching them grow and succeed gives me the most fulfilling feeling!

  • Mikki Z. - Art Instructor

    Hi! I’m Mikki, an artist, mom, and creative at heart. I graduated from the School of Visual Arts with a BFA in Fine Arts, and I’ve always loved exploring art, movement, and how creativity helps us express who we are.

    I spent four amazing years in Japan working with elementary and middle school students, which really deepened my love for helping kids feel safe, confident, and free to explore their imagination. I’m also an aspiring art therapist and a new mom, constantly inspired by the way children naturally play, create, and discover the world.

    I’m passionate about making art feel welcoming, meaningful, and fun for everyone with no pressure, just expression, curiosity, and joy. Let's have fun with art!

  • Amrita S. - Art Instructor

    Hello! I’m Amrita.

    Art has always been a part of my life. I’m especially inspired by the way light and shadow can completely transform a subject.

    I love working with oil, acrylics, and charcoal, and I hold an Associate Degree in Fine Arts along with my BS and MBA.

    My favorite part of teaching is helping students find their own "artistic voice" while sharing the fun techniques I’ve picked up over the years.

    When I’m not at the easel, you can find me practicing yoga or enjoying time with my family and friends!

  • Katrina O. - Studio Assistant

    Hello! My name is Katrina, and I am a Paraprofessional in a preschool special education classroom and a proud mother of five. Working with children has always been a true passion of mine. I find so much joy in watching them learn, grow, and explore the world around them.

    Creativity and art are a big part of my everyday life, and being able to share that creativity with our young artists is incredibly rewarding. Whether we’re painting, creating, or imagining, I love helping children express themselves and build confidence along the way.

    When I’m not in the classroom, you can usually find me spending time with my family or traveling and making new memories together.
