Gratitude Vases with preschoolers- perfect activity for Thanksgiving π
Itβs gratitude season, and we love helping our youngest artists pause and reflect on the little things that make their world special.
I absolutely love these gratitude bouquets, and the students loved making them just as much!
When the children arrived for class, they found a table full of heart shapes waiting for them. We talked together about the things weβre grateful for, and we helped each child write their gratitude on a heart with a Sharpie.
Itβs always so refreshing (and heart-melting!) to hear what little ones appreciate β the rain that helps trees grow, their families, dogs, friends, toys, candy, and homes. Their answers are such a beautiful reminder to all of us to be thankful for the simple things that brighten our days.
After writing their gratitude words, the children painted their hearts with watercolors. Then they decorated their jars with tissue paper and arranged their own gratitude heart bouquets β
each heart representing something they love and appreciate.
By the next class, everything had dried, and they were so excited to show their parents and take their bouquets home. It was a joyful, meaningful project that filled our studio with color, creativity, and so much love.
